DVDS

As far as I know there are 3 DVD releases out there right now. And I am very happy to own 2 of them.

One is CKBMV, a collection of all music videos so far, which is pretty great. My favourite video is still for "Ah, means i Love you" which just leaves me puzzled .. it looks like a neighborhood jazz dance group won the contest for best 'self made video'.

The other one is the very recent Crazy Ken Band Show which is a double DVD ... it is actually like going to 2 concerts ... you have the same show (with the usual variations that come with live shows) in 2 different locations ..

I especially like the Helly Kitty song that features a group of dancing kids that had too much caffeine !! ... very enjoyable ...

I am curious about that Live at Studio Coast DVD ... (oh, and by the way, I don't have any of these magical amazon links that transfer 5 cents into my pockets everytime you click them) ... I will try to get that next time I am in Japan.

That is the DVD run down from my end ...

Most recent album as of 11/05 : Soul Punch

Here is a link about it on chipple.net.

I think this was the last CD I actually bought, because a) it rocks b) it has a bonus DVD. The DVD has one music video ('my standard') and then a 30 minute home video of Ken talking about places (e.g. one where he had a motorcycle accident) .. I only got half of it or less ... but the album itself is great ...
Welcome to CKB!

It appears there is very little info out there in English (try google) about the Japanese combo "Crazy Ken Band" ... and taking the lead from the great HALCALI Day by Day blog I hope to set up a similar resource on CKB.

Over time I will try to compile whatever English info I can find (there are sometimes some nice snippets with those over prized import CD sales), whatever info I can get translated (maybe from the official website and hopefully some other peopel will join this blog over time and can enrich this experience with pictures and current news.

At least no one can say later we have not tried :)
